Q: Cruises from China?

Hey

Was wondering if anyone has any experiences with cruises. I've been looking at Royal Caribbean and was seeing if anyone has tried it. I've been on Royal Caribbean in the Caribbean and I had a pleasant time.

Also, I'm expecting to bring my girlfriend who is a Chinese national, will she need a visa to disembark in Japan or Korea?

Thanks all

Visas to Japan and Korea will be required for your Chinese GF.  For Korea will be easier to get, less requirements.  For Japan, many requirements, many possible visits to Embassy, may even need to post a bond to insure her return to China besides round trip ticket, proof of work waiting back in China, sufficient assets to pay for trip and stay, etc.

Visa to Korea is C-3 good for a 90 day stay maximum, cost about $ 30 US dollars.    If become frustrated with visa to Japan, try a travel agency, maybe the one selling you the cruise, they should get you the visas too.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
