Q: Ctrip and problems with a refund

I cancelled a booking on Ctrip to which they say would be returned within 30 days, the 30 days has past and it  has still not been returned and even though I have sent multiple emails and phone calls saying so they give me various Bull, sorry, information; "wait a few more days" " the funds were frozen and returned same day"  "check with your bank" " our finance dept says it has been returned" Blah, Blah, Blah.. I even sent them a statement showing the funds had been withdrawn  but it does not show the funds being returned...

Any advice would be appreciated as I'm really getting pissed off now.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure, 'how to make them move'. I'm in the similar position with Shanghai's (authorized by Swiss) watch repair.

You could maybe try asking for advice at Foreign Expert Bureau (SAFEA) in your city.

I mostly used them with Contract/employer related things, but now I'm thinking to dial them, and ask for help of retrieving my watch from the repair shop.

Thanks icnif77, I sent SAFEA an email but no reply as im guessing its not something they could help with.

icnif77:

Shanghai Watch Co. kindly informed me yesterday (after I called them for brazillionth time), my watch will stay in the repair for another 2 weeks.

I sent my watch around March 10th for the crown exchange. What month is now? Almost two months already. I was charged for the express service (some 70Rmb).

I'm seriously thinking to dial Henan SAFEA and seeking an advice.

They just adopted my watch. Mastards.

If you really want to talk to SAFEA about the matter, call them first. After you'll get somebody in person, ask them for their email address, and offer thorough explanation of the problem through email. Every SAFEA's agent has different/personal email.

I don't think anybody's checking SAFEA's official email address too often.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
