Q: Decent/inexpensive wine bars in Beijing?

I'm getting a bit sick of Qingdao beer and fake hard alcohol. Does anyone know of any decent/inexpensive "wine bars" in Beijing?

By decent I mean *not* Chinese produced or bottled wine.
By inexpensive I mean under 50 RMB per glass.

thanks!

There use to be a place called Rickshaw..not sure if they still have it up and running or if was moved to another location. It was voted the best in Beijing many times...try that one!

Although inexpensive sounds good, it's probably not a good idea. There's a lot of money in fake wine. Some of it doesn't even have grapes, it's just flavoring. If you can't see the bottle before they open it to check if it's real, I wouldn't trust it, especially if you want something cheap. You're better off buying your own bottle, and even then, you still need to check and make sure.

Check out Cheers on Sanlitun jiubajie. It's really more of an import wine shop than bar, but you can sit in there and have a bottle or glass of wine at really decent prices (think 30-40 rmb for a whole bottle of French or Spanish wine). It's got no atmosphere and plastic stools, but if it's cheap wine you're looking for then Cheers fits the bill!
