Q: Did I do something bad?

The 20 yo designer girl in my office insulted me by saying that no man wants me because I am fat. I was furious, but I swallowed it because I know it is better I just swallow it for my own good(otherwise the shitty chinese boss would think that I couldn't  get along with everybody in the office, in fact all people in my office are rude and shitty).

Latter on my ankle hurts, this girl helped me with walking which was very nice of her and I really felt grateful.

Then yesterday, she called me old woman. The other day, she said that no man wants me. She said in front of everyone, does she really the one has no brain and lacks of enough family education. Her disrespect drived me very mad and I then went to boss and reported her bad work performance to try to get her fired.

So I wonder if I did something wrong for do a revenge on her likes that?

Trying to get someone fired for insulting you...  Yes, that is extremely petty.

Trying to get someone fired is many times worse

And if you needed help walking, maybe calling you old isn't entirely an insult.

Try this: "That's not a nice thing to say to me. Did I do anything to deserve that?"
... and she may tell you about a time you hurt her feelings, which you are probably 100% unaware of. That's what I think is happening.

And if not, you win the moral high ground by not showing her comment hurt you, while also pointing out her hurtful comment. The winner is you.

Blondie_:

i hope you are not holding your breath Coineineagh.

Viki is clearly not behaving like a professional by giving a subordinate a false evaluation based on 'hurt feelings'

since Viki has been with this company - a job she admitted that she accepted based on the salary on offer alone, she has trashed her boss, her bosses wife, customers, colleagues and her boss to customers. (did i leave anyone who she might have been in contact with professionally out?)

NOT the actions or behaviour of a professional, but sadly it seems to be the norm in China.

Granted, many Chinese companies to not behave professionally or ethically, but for someone to 'get upset' when their unprofessional behavior is not condoned by the very people she is trying to attract (Caucasian men), it is completely laughable.

The fact that Viki asks in her question:

'I wonder if I did something wrong for do a revenge on her likes that'

AFTER she gives a colleague a bad report shows she has no idea HOW to behave like an adult. (i mean who asks people on the internet if you can use their washing machine?

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
