Q: Did rhinocerii (rhinoceroses) exist in China?

As in, are they a species native to China? I only ask because I was reading through some Mencius the other day, and there was a passage that mentioned "driving all the wild beasts... rhinoceroses, lions, bears.... out of China". Doesn't seem likely that in ancient times rhinos were naturally part of China.

hey Ludovico,,, i answered this for you,, thought I gave a good one,,must have been too good because it was erased,,,hmmm and wasn't political,, it was fact based on my own life experiences,,, guess its hard for some people to realize the things I've experienced because they will never have that amount of excitement because they never look for any. I'm sure they would never understand the applying of the chocolate sauce either.
