Q: Did you ever hear that Chinese saying?

"3 women in a room are louder than a macaque"

I was told this quite a few times by local men. I think it tend to be true, some women in their 30s or 40s are usually extremely loud at my office, they probably think it make them look strong, in my opinion they only look like uneducated peasants. Younger women tend to be more quiet, more educated too.

But it might be a result of poor education rather than sex, older men, above 50, are also extremely loud.

Pretty sexist and narrow minded saying. As you point out, men are noisy as heck too.

Never heard the saying though.

Is anything from locals not sexist, racist or overall narrow minded?

I never heard that either. But I once heard "You can remove the farmer from the farm, but you can't remove the farm in the farmer's heart".

I have heard that ``one Chinese women is equal to 8 ducks quacking...`` so I think it is about the same.
