The next time google and gmail gets restricted or tampered with here like we just experienced recently, just go to dogpile.com and you will be able to search via google by searching for google.ca and once you land there you are good to go and even be able to log into gmail.
I used Canadian Google to access my Gmail account for few days last two weeks, but google.ca get blocked too. Yesterday, I still had troubles with logon to Gmail. I am using my second email at Yahoo instead.
Connection through Dogpile.com is excellent today, but Google works splendid also. It even let me open Calendar, or access G News: article about Tibetans at TucsonCitizen.com.
It looks, Gmail is 'home free' today.
i can open Gmail in China.Though i use dogpile.but i can only open google.com.hk.I cant open google.com .

This morning I tried dogpile.com. It worked well, but I could open Gmail through my regular bookmark too.
This evening, Gmail doesn't work, and dogpile.com is not of big help either.
I am assuming, dogpile.com is useful when Google is OK, too.
I am logged on to my Gmail account, but I cannot open and read email page. Ridiculous! After several minutes there is a sign: Failed to open page.

It works fine here and I am not too far from you and I am on the same provincial net provider, I think.

I am in Dalian currently. I am not sure what is reason for this Internet 'speed' at Google. Yahoo or any of Chinese websites open it up very quickly.
