Q: Do Chinese airlines have a history of plane crashes?

I fly a lot, and with all these planes going down, I'm curious.

China Airlines is not the same as Air China. Air China is the mainland airline while China Airlines is the Taiwanese airline.

Did everyone miss that wonderfully written article referenced by icniff? Very interesting, especially the bit about how culture might influence aircraft crashes in China and India! This is just one example of how most eyes are on who's throwing mud at who and other controversies on this forum and few people pay attention to the truly interesting things like the gold nugget in this article.
