Q: Do Chinese have spatial awareness?
This is my number one issue I think I have asked this before. The lack of spatial awareness drives me mad. Does it drive you mad?
No spatial awareness, I see people trying to park their car into obviously smaller spot everyday and failing and trying another spot. I see people bump into each others all the time on the street while not even staring at their phone. By the funniest is when your neighbors buy a new sofa / furniture and only realize that it won't fit in the elevator when they are here with their new piece of furniture, having to leave it in the lobby overnight and then call the moving guys with a rope to lift it to their balcony on the next day.
No awareness of space in general, be it physical or mental.
Mentally wise, no respect for personal space either. I don't mind being stuck like sardines in a can with other people on the subway or in an elevator, but i do mind when said people invade my personal space, stare at me like I can't see them or talk about me like I can't hear them or try really really hard to read my phone's screen with no respect for privacy whatsoever.
If you've ever watched people trying to park a car you'd have to say no.
Usually the driver has no idea how big the park is in relation to the car or where the sides of the car are and has to be guided into the park.
No, they certainly lack of SA. Just see, how they walk .... 'look L while moving R ....' I am like: 'MUUUU ...or 'HELLOOOU' just to make sound as 'I am here!'.
The most sti-pud is 'looking at the phone and walking'. You have to be 'bat' a bit to successfully avoid everything what's coming on your way.
And I won't mention bumping into me, while they pass. I mean, what's wrong with that?
In the beginning, I was thinking they want to sniff what cologne I'm wearing (girls), but then everybody does it.
In West, bumping into other person on the street is like 'invitation to fight', if no 'I am sorry!'.
BuTT...the most annoying is bumping into me with Super's trolley at the register. I am the last one in the queue, and next person's arriving to the queue bump into me with carriage. 'Are you BLIND?' or 'Am I invisible today?'
I really want to learn this two in Chinese!
I forgot one: 'escalator' - Why do they always stand at the exit of the escalator? They don't continue with walking, but as soon as they exit escalator they stop and talk ... They behave similar as I would behave first time on the Space ship .... They also like to have chat in the middle of the door ... So, should I wait till they chat-over, and then enter or exit ....s-l-o-w-l-y?.

Pronounce as : Ni (you) Xia (blind) le ma (indicate question)?
Xia is produced as sar . Le is produced as la.
Shorter, colloquial version, Ni Xia le ?

You know, I was seriously thinking why do they do that ('talking in the middle of the entrance/exit', 'stopping on the top of the escalator'), and the closest I could come is 'me, first time on the Space ship ...' 
... you know, peeing into the espresso machine instead into the can .. and similar.

I see last pic now. Who knows, what was cause to get onto the train through the windows. It happened to me in Bj in May 2012. I couldn't board the train for Urumqi on May holidays. 1/2 of the China wanted to travel to Xinjiang's direction, and I just stayed behind. They closed the access to rail with some 400 people (and me) left behind.
I might never been 'poor', but even if I would be, I'd realise with one look, that other people are coming up the escalator, and I can't stand on the top of it, but I must move further or step on the side, so other people can go 'somewhere', because thing is in constant move ...
I had thing yesterday, while exiting Wal-y: I entered it and it was packed, so I am going 'what day is today?' OK and I turned around and continue on 'esca-up'. In front of me 3 guys also exiting. As soon as they came up, they stopped and chat&light-up the fag. Me moving like 'Wayne Gretzky' ... some talk back in Chinese, and I short: 'Fuk-off' and exited the 'esca' with hockey moves... I was without milk in me fridge, so packed Wal-y made me 'exited without entering' and in bad mood, 'cause no milk for hong cha on Sunday...I'll have to try it again, today ...

I think, escalators in China should have an 'eject' button.....too..

No 'eject Rmb'. I'd say 'save' and watch 'US$/Rmb pair': it's on 2010 level, but not because Chinese economy is (that) bad/down. It's because FOMC talk/think of raising interest rates, so Chin-ex reacted with devalue.
Rmb down is pain for US.
IMO, it's very difficult to make money on FOREX, because of 'currencies war' between-o USA, China&Ruski.
Better way is buying bullion (Gold, Silver) to preserve your savings. However, one must find out how to exit China with it ....impossible!
I am looking (after I'll fix my mouth) into the HK's Bank account with option of 'buying bullion with paper money' and pick-up bullion elsewhere, i.e. 'out of China', i.e. savings aren't in paper (Rmb) but in 'bullion price'....
I am going to the Wal-y with my skates now ...LOL

I keep my cash liquid. No FX dealings, all hedged. I agree, it is extremely difficult to make money with the currency wars. Gold has plateau. Not much there. The big crocodiles are extremely smart, the public (small fishes) aren't buying so no food there.

When you are like this you lose all sense of time and space, and yourself....
Besides blinded by money, growing up like this doesn't bode well for spatial awareness.
I was thinking about this just yesterday. Even asked a question of this nature on here myself before. I think it's the sardine syndrome, you get packed in so close to everyone else for so long, it feels normal. My experience is that you can halve (in China) what seems like an invasion of personal space back home in London, without someone calling you on it. Not a biggy on the whole, but if guys back home tried to crotch party a girl in the same way I've seen them do on the nightclub dance floors here, they'd be walking home with a serious case of the broken balls.
I lived in Tokyo for several years and have lived in GZ about 10 years. The difference, to me, in spatial awareness and the sense of being crowded between the two cities is cultural. Tokyo has a higher population density but feels more open due to the Japanese sense of politeness and awareness of outer and inner place. GZ is generally based on OPIUM (Only person in the universe is me syndrome). Symptoms are based on a lack of empathy or sympathy, resulting in the appearance of a lack of total disregard for others. Both countries value Face, but it seems there is a vast difference in its interpretation and realization.
It's plain stupidity, today I saw a university student display exactly what I'm talking about. A car was backing up angling it's front end south, while the student was heading north to the store but instead of taking the direct angle north towards the store walks straight, taking the path directly towards the rear of the backing up car (yes she was looking forward the entire time). Then she jumps out of the way towards the south almost running into the front end of the car. I see this about twice a week in one way or another. They just are incapable of thinking. CCP schooling

Chinese constantly test the theory that 2 objects CAN occupie the same time and space
