Far as I know, Chinese don't have their own version of Pixar, or really amazing cartoon for kids (except for the sheep and wolf thing).
Did Chinese kids grow up watching Tom and Jerry like us?
They actually really do like Tom and Jerry, however it is kids these days growing up watching it.
They like Spongebob too.
Of course there are many Japanese cartoons they enjoy too.
And I've seen Chinese 3D animation, it's terrible. Looks like the original Playstation.
My kids watch Shen Yang Yang (Nice Sheep, Bad Wolf), Dora the Explorer and Thomas the Engine. The first one is a Chinese cartoon, the second is American and the third is British.
All I know is that 'Wolf and Sheep' is running nearly 24/7 in China. I suppose that awesome 70s era 'Journey to the West' is a kind of kids show. The campy one. Its their version of 'Lost World'.
And yeah, those cheap looking CGI ones. That kinda freak me out.
I never saw many others. I did bring some 'Futurama' but they seems strangely unimpressed.
