Q: do chinese people like to have a foreigner girlfriend ?
i am curious that chhinese poeple would like to have a foreigner gf just like foreigner like to have a chinese gf and many of foreigners have chinese gf but in my life in chinese i never saw a chinese boy or maN who would have a foreigner gf ? or foreigner girls dont like to have a chinese bf
I can say that there are quite a few girls who would love to have a cute Asian boyfriend. Whether they are a large part of the female expat population or not, I don't know. All I know is that I don't have one because nobody has asked me. That is probably because I live in a small city. As far as I can tell, it's a lot more complicated because of cultural differences and who knows what else. Are we female expats that unapproachable? Do they really think we're not good girlfriend/wife material? Or am I not the typical female expat? I don't know any answers, just a lot of questions.

I think it is the city. If you go to a bigger city, maybe one with more foreigners you will probably be more approachable by some nice young Chinese guy. In smaller cities, Chinse boys are much more shy when it comes to foreign girls.
Among the things in your favor, you like anime, and that is definitely a good topic for breaking the ice with young boys.

Uh, you do realize that Chinese people have a certain pattern and common grammar errors they make when speaking English right? And that those of us who live here are so used to these particular errors that you can't fool us?
A Girlfriend or a wife? If a wife, I think no. Men in China are very serious of their marriages. When a man choose a girl aimed to be his wife, he has very clear image and strict requirements of this girl.

That may very well be a "theory", but in "practice", every day life, I have never seen it.
Why so many ads asking for "sugar daddy" in eChinacities?
And what is the most used causal for divorce in China? Is it concubines, not faithful ?. Arriving home drunk and physical abuse ?. I do know of a case that the wife had a baby girl, and the husband divorced her because he wanted a boy. Is that love ?

As far as I know, it is not on a "per day" basis for sugar daddy, but a monthly fee. In the Guangzhou / Shenzhen area for "exclusive" rights the fee starts at 20K Rmb/month.
A foreign gf would have good face value for the Chinese guy amongst his peers. (The opposite of a girl having a foreign bf). iPhone in one hand, foreign gf in the other - WHO DA MAN?
But the same thing would probably happen that happens your typical expat with a Chinese girl, the opposite sex won't like it!
On the other hand, from my experience I see that foreign men generally like Chinese girls more than foreign girls like Chinese men.
Well, I can only talk for my personal experience. I married a Chinese man and I'm a laowai (from Mexico). I didn't marry my husband because he was Chinese but because he is my soul mate. However, he is not the typical traditional Chinese man. He is very open mind, outgoing and doesn't depend of his parents' opinion.
Mexican culture is somewhat similar to the Chinese. But, my husband and I share the same American concepts, and we respect each other values and traditions. Foreigner girls look for someone who is independent, open mind, and respectful. And someone who can give love instead of an ipad.
