I haven't come across one Chinese person that will admit to understanding this style of writing. Have you? I mean really if you can read print you should be able to read cursive writing right?!?
Um, when using pen and paper, most of my Chinese friends will write English in a cursive style. It's a little tiresome to write the letters out like a first grader would do it. You know, like on that ruled paper with the dotted line to show where the tops of lower case letters should be....
Not really mate. It's the same with cursive Chinese. I can read Chinese characters but I can't necessarily read someones crazy handwriting. I personally think cursive English is easier for a non-native speaker to read than cursive Chinese for a non-native speaker. But me and all the foreigners that can speak Chinese that I've met have difficulty reading cursive Chinese so I can understand why the Chinese find it hard.
Obviously I find it easier to read now, but when I was still learning it was a nightmare, and it's still hard sometimes now.
no they don't. but hopefully they can learn it too. their pinyin print is impressive, though.
