Q: Do chinese women tend to be more submissive or dominant?
If your a feminist or an emasculated man, this question probably will bother you so you should just move along.To me a submissive woman is a beautiful thing, and a bit of a rarity these days certainly in most western countries. People usually tend to think of Asian women as being more submissive but after reading the purse holding thread it seems that Chinese women like to wear the pants in the relationship. What is the verdict? Will chinese women let you be the man in the relationship?

Well, you have 2 questions. The original question: The typical Chinese answer is that women are soft on the outside and hard on the inside, OR vise versa.
Sometimes I don't think my wife is really Chinese. Her attitude is kind and loving, rarely complains. But she is strong too. I've only seen her cry once (4 years). She handles the money (cashier), but I am an accountant by trade. Separating the two financial roles is good practice (run the finances like a business). I'm open about my complaints, while she will give me the silent treatment. She cooks, I work. We stay positive. I'm blessed to have found her. We're both in our 30's, so if you think your lady complains too much, then I would ask what is the age difference between you? I know that some foreigners prefer a lady half their age, but for me personally, Chinese girls in their 20's have great butts, but they tend to be a little too crazy or child like. I didn't want to marry a child. You know?

I, too, have a wife who is around the same age. We are 31 and 32 (she being older by seven months.
A wonderful lady who I often forget is Chinese. Only to be reminded quite suddenly!
I think two things submissive in public, domineering in private.
Went out / date with several chinese girls (I mean china's chinese not overseas chinese), also interracting with them regularly as a student and teacher. Some are submissive some are dominant, but I can say that all of them are pushy 
. Some give you that creepy vibe like 3-4 text message in 5 mins, or insisting on coming and staying around your apartment or room even though you told them not to come or ask them to leave lol.

There are several problems with having a delicate Asian flower as your wife.
1.. Expensive to maintain.
2.. Can't carry a case of beer on her shoulder.
3. Does not know how to deal with Chinese mandarins.
Advantages to having an Asian wife with bigger balls than you:
1. Earns more money than you.
2. Can carry a case of beer on one shoulder, a case of Babycham on the other, and a bottle of whisky in each hand.
3. Knows how to do things you can't... without suggesting you need to pay a bribe.

Women in China have been put on the same level as men since the revolution, the communist dream does not distinguish the male and female comrade, they are both workers and both equals.
Since the death of Mao things have changed, each sex picked what advantaged him in Chinese culture, in communism and in modern capitalism, meaning that Chinese women want the advantages of Chinese culture (not working, being took care by the man) while also taking the advantages of communism (behaving like a man, some don't hesitate to come to fists with their husband, masculine behavior, ...) and also the advantages of capitalism (materialism, greed, ...) all of this are advantageous for the woman, not the man.
Of course there are exceptions, but one must be crazy to marry the typical young Chinese woman described above.
Me and my wife are equals. She generally "listens" to me, but she's not afraid to disagree, and we make sure we can both agree on something before doing it.
The other two girls I dated were psychotic dragon ladies who were overly dominant. No way am I gonna stick around with girls like that.
