One of my first apartments was an old luxury building era1900, my apartment would have been the servants living quarters. The place had 10' ceilings with big  ornate plaster cornice, huge bay window. There was a closet in the living room that had once been a doorway. The door stuck so bad that the bottom would be pulled out about a foot before the top would let go and I had to move my carpet and underpad also.

I often had a sense that someone had been in my apartment when I came home. I had maybe 300 house plants, most hanging  from the ceiling and often some would get knocked down, no way I could even reach them. Because of this I was always joking that my place was haunted. I had a friend that lived in the apartment and we were always playing practical joke on each other, one of his was to hide in my apartment and try to scare me.

One night I'm sitting in the living room with my cat and the fireplace going and the room felt like it got very cold, it wasn't winter. I swear I saw the closet door knob turn. That closet door opened very slowly, didn't stick in the door jam or drag on the carpet, I just figured my friend was trying a practical joke, he wasn't, no one was there. What got me was my long haired cat stood up arched his back tail up and fur just standing out straight. The cat made like he was watching something come out of the closet and go through the room. when I got up the close the closet I had to roll up the carpet and put my shoulder into the door to close it again.

I taught I saw a puudy cat.

A couple of my mates and I were out Roo shooting in S/W Queensland about 1984

We spotted a light in the distance and thought it was somebody that should not be on the property.

One of the boys was a police office so we decided  to front them.

as we got closer we realized the light did not have a beam.

if we moved left it moved the same way

If we moved back it came toward us

I said to my mates   that is one of those funny Min Min lights

The young guy say shoot it

How do you kill something that is not supposed  to be real I asked

Good point said the cop

and with that it was feet do your duty

and the 6ft tall law enforcer was out in front by a good 20m before me and the other guy could turn around.

we jumped into the ute the copper at the wheel doing about 100 mile per hour down this winding bush track in the middle of the night

with the light in pursuit

were is that light asked the Driver

Don't worry about the light it is behind us

just worry about the big bloody tree in front of us I replied

about a mile or two from home the light disappeared  and we all were relieved

and vowed never to chase funny little lights again

I thought I would never see a stranger site

Then I came to Chinacrying

philbravery:

Sorry I better add a glossary

Min Min  light is a Kadicher Man in spirit form and if you follow him you will never be seen again

Ute is a pick up truck

Police officer is somebody you cant rely  on when there is a Min Min light about

i haven't such experience. but when i in college, my roommate told me his story: this man lived in southwest china near the sea. his family has two-floors house. all of his family lived in first floor, one night almost midnight , he went out to pee, when he came back, he found a white human shape shadow stand on their second floor corridor and knock the door "Pang pang pang". he thought it was someone first, but this shadow disappeared and appeared again, move slowly and stumblely.  he was so afraid almost pee on his pants, he rushed into family room and told his father and brothers what he saw. when they came out and watched second floor corridor. there was nothing. his family mock he for several days. but he insisted he saw  something. fortunely for my friend, this strange thing never happen again.

I bought my grandparents house from the estate after my grandfather died. Along with the house came a lot of stuff. I had bought him a portable radio exactly like one I had and while I was cleaning out the house, I put the radio in the den. One night, I was sitting in the den reading, and the radio turned on. All by itself. It wasnt plugged in and I am pretty sure the batteries in it were dead. A few weeks later, my treadmill turned on all by itself. It's in the den. And my dog will go in there, jump up in the chair and "squeeze" in on the side like someone else is sitting with him. Every now and then, things happen in the den.

GuilinRaf:

We lived with my grandmother for many years and she  had a dog who absolutely loved her.  Every morning, she would sit out on the talking to her dog in the balcony drinking her coffee and her dog would be sitting right next to her, ears perked and wagging her tail slowly, but when my grandmother would look at her, she would wag her tail very fast.

Anyway, after three years, my grandmother was killed in a DUI accident (drugs).

Anyway, for the next 12 years, her dog would sit in the same spot and stare at the same chair, ears perked and tail wagging and every few minutes her tail would wag furiously.  Even in her last few weeks, when she could no longer walk, we would carry her to her spot and the tip of her tail would tap and suddenly tap very fast.

When she died, we cremated her and put her in my grandmothers urn.

Im sorry about your gramma :( I love your story though.

Animals, especially pets of the deceased are said to be in tune with the passed. I love that my dog, who never met my grandpa, seems to sit with him.

I lived in an old 10 bedroom farmhouse in upstate N.Y.

I was told that the original owner had killed himself upstairs, there were nine bedrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs, we pretty much lived downstairs, One night me and my girl hear a door opening upstairs and the floor creaking as someone or something walked across the whole upstairs and opened and closed another door. i checked it out, no one there. it was always cold upstairs. we were never bothered by this spirit and he never came downstairs. It happened every night, we just lived with it.

Every time guests would come for dinner, someone would always ask who was upstairs, we would just laugh and say nobody, they would say, I just heard a door open and someone walking to another room and opening and closing the door. We would tell people the truth , but no one believed us, so we just carried on with life and he kept walking every night, no doubt, a restless soul.

I moved into my last house in England back in 2000. One summer morning I was alone in the house,in the living room, on the sofa reading a book. I heard very clearly footsteps coming down the stairs and walking along the hallway. At the point where the footsteps came level with the open living room door I looked up fully expecting to see someone and there was no-one. My youngest child always said she saw a ghostly cat in the house. At the time I had a client who was a spiritualist and he told me there was a spirit of an old man who walked through the house. Added to that we lived virtually next door to the local cemetery. If you ask me whether it was haunted, I really don't know but there was something about the house that made some people feel not very comfortable.

We use to ghost are rooms back in the day kept it unoccupied for several days or even weeks. There were weird things going on and I just couldn't stay at the dorms anymore. My door kept swinging open after I had locked it. Me and a friend he had a beer and I told him the story. Next thing you know there is a creaking sound and we walk over to my door it opened up! I asked to leave that place or I wouldn't stay there. Eventually I left!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
