Q: Do girls often ask you what your zodiac sign is?

This seems to be something especially prevalent amongst Chinese women. I've lost count of the number of girls who asked me what my sign was, then went on and on guessing/declaring 1) what kind of person I was and 2) how I would/wouldn't be a good match with her.

Do people in this day and age truly believe this, or this some fun, gossip-worthy game they play?

I believe they use those signs as a guide. They have questions such as what kind of person you are, how you would be a good match, what you are good at, etc., Usually they use it as a guide to find out if the person they are with is compatible with them. Just like those match-making websites and gameshows do. It's more like match-making in their eyes. They want stability and compatibility. It's more of a guide for them to make up those decisions.
