Q: Do I need to change my resident permit?

I will be moving from one city to another in the same province (Mianyang to Chengdu in Sichuan Province) with the same company.Do I have to change my resident permit?

If yes what is the procedure?

Yes, must change it or update it because the Residents permit address needs to match the company that you are physically working in..

but I'm sure they're going to give you the speech: don't worry about it

If I know these companies through out China like I think I do, then I bet they'll give him the "don't worry" speech. I hope he gets the company to help him.
