Q: do i need the release letter or work permit cancellation letter if I leave China?

I have left My previous employer after they paid salary and i went to cambodia. they were in the process of cancelling my work permit but as I did not want to wait in china for 5 days and another 15 for them to cancel my residence permit I decided to go to Cambodia where if I  can apply for another visa if i need it. As I would need to resubmit all documents for a new z visa will I need the work permit cancellation letter and the release letter or are they not necessary anymore
