Funny question, they begin with British English but intergrate into American English. The problem is the British English that was taught and for the most part is still taught to future Chinese English teachers, are out of date grammatically. It's important to remember that English is universal, and all parts of English should be taught and learned. I'm from America and during my University years, more than 60% of all my teachers where from non native English speaking countries. English vocabulary is the same in both British and American. It may be pronounced, differently with a different spelling but damn, it's the same definition. Write a SAT or TOEFL essay, they accept British spelling, IELTS accepts American spelling, well I guess you get the picture.
only uk engl from what i have seen. which have lead to some funny moments in class. and they dont even teach or test based on correct uk english
It would be hard to really pin point a correct answer, because China does not really have a National English curriculum in the schools, as far as I'm aware. I have tried to get it, but it seems to not exist.
Grammar is more tricky to comment on, the reason is the higher up the ladder the more important it becomes. As a professional you would be expected to be more grammaticaly correct.
From what I've seen working in public schools and training centers the curriculum has been British English. But I always try to sneak in my Americanisms
