Q: Do people sue a lot in China?

In the States, and even many European countries, suing is extremely common and some people hope to have an accident just so they can sue and get rich. Does this mentality exist in China too or is China yet to be hit by the suing culture?

I like a snowy Happy new year, rather than a no sky one...Beijing's time to ban the cars---the only solution for the time being...

As far as I know, they don't, because the ones that would win in America, wouldn't win here. They don't have the power or the connections. Their best bet is to settle it with the company for the best compensation they can manage.

Here it isn't a matter of who is right or wrong in court.  Many rural judges don't have beyond a grade 6 education.  It is about who knows who, or as the locals say, guangxi.

Most of the so called suits, take place in the form of extortion.  The whole legal system here is so messed up, it makes my brain hurt.
