Q: Do we have a serial thumbs downer roaming undetected on this site?

Is it me, or is anyone else noticing a pattern of blanket thumbs down for answers?
I think we should all give a reversing thumbs up for all stupid thumbs downs.
Or maybe I'm bored and should be working?

Dude, I sort of noticed the same maybe 10 days ago.  I wondered if I had written something wrong, but could not find a reason (at least in my eyes).  So, instead of allowing them to upset me, I just continued posting the answers I knew, learning from those I did not know, and of course, wondering why some bother to answer sometimes......

Do it as fun, and then you will enjoy it more, and do not let "boat rockers" do their thing to you.

I totally don't care....I just think it's funny. BTW...my question already got one!!

Yes, I have noticed that. I think maybe it is a Chinese person that doesn`t like some people on this site. Just my guess.

Sorry, it's me.  In my past life I was a Roman Emporer and sometimes the desire of giving the thumbs down in China is just overwhelming.

(No, it isn't me. This is a joke.  It is only a joke.)

Shining_brow:

We do remember that the thumbs down was to indicate that the loser LIVES, because the fight was so boring, the winner doesn't get the 'thumbs up' for a good fight, and thus the joy/glory of the kill....

Xpat.John...I have some ideas who, but you are not on the list....but funny. Ever wonder why FB doesn't have a thumbs down? But I suppose for the quiet type, it may seem like it's empowering?

I'd noticed this as well... I, too, don't think it's a Chinese person, based on what was given a thumbs down, and what wasn't. (coincidentally, it comes shortly after my post about giving a thumbs down.....)

Funny, I noticed the same thing. I think you created a monster!

There are a few individuals on here that, after you get into a little spat, will thumbs down everything you say, no matter what. Petty is delicious! Again!

yeah and they usually have multiple accounts, petty loser

I think I am the culprit. My apologies. I tried to let the admin know that I'm trying to thumbs up but I keep looking like an asshole thumb downing...
not like facebook where you can undo a mistake...ugh

Please address all agnst and comments towards me. I'm sorry. I will substain from further thumb-age.

Hmmm... Am I the only one to notice that beaufortninja is the only one in this thread with an uncontested thumbs up vote?  Coincidence?  haha

A:You can still skin into China as a non-English native teacher by holding English Teaching license in your home country.2nd: Your BA degree should be completed in a native English country. Once, you fulfilled these 'parameters', you qualify for an English teaching job in China as a non-native English sneaker with Z - Entry/Working visa with Working and Residence permit later on. See the last 'Answers Highlight' ---> there is a web link posted about 'requirements for teaching English language in China as a non-English native passport holder'. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china#paragraph-item-63614-target

*English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). I'd say, Chinese will choose and look especially for a native English speaker at teaching of English Literature job openings. Posted job adverts for English Literature teaching are most likely from International Schools in China. Good luck! -- icnif77
