Q: Do you ever scream as loud as you can into your phone while on a crowded bus in China?

Just thought I'd ask, because that's what the Chinese guy next to me on the bus in Brisbane was doing today.

I fear he has done irreparable damage to my right eardrum...

Not just on the bus. I have one friend from back home to whom I always scream "WEI" whenever he calls. When he visited me, he spent less than 24 hours noticing the trend of people yelling "WEI" when picking up the phone. It must seem a lot stranger for people back home if we start a phone call while he is out in public.

when you see them , say "excuse me sir, can you talk louder, the people in the next bus behind us can quite hear you", you have to say it in chinese though, some people laugh once in a while when i do this, usually the bus driver laughs.

another favorite when they check out my money, i say in chinese "its good, trust me, i printed it this morning on the best hewlett packard printer you can buy in china"

No, but I shall commence screaming into my phone on buses as soon as I return!

I tried screaming into my phone while driving my truck here at home, but no one noticed.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
