I get very frustrated at google cutting out every 2 seconds so often jump to Baidu to get a quick result (as an actress said to a bishop.) For English searching though I find it to be absolutely useless - especially on the image search. Anyone use it one a regular basis?

Baidu is bad at English search. As for Google ,from my experience Google.HK works okay as long as you don't search sensitive keywords. but then again, you couldn't open the sensitive link anyway . Have you tried Google.sg or Google.my? It will depend on your Internet service provider. the GFW seems not the same everywhere .
ohChina:
oops sorry i meant Google.com.hk and google.com.sg and google.com.my
I use it daily but that's searching in Chinese. For English I pray Google works. If not I give Yahoo a try.
Baidu is like the lens-less frames that although looks to be doing something, actually doesn't help
I used to use Baidu MP3 a lot, it's actually pretty useful.
Same for the video section, to watch TV shows!
Otherwise, what Scandinavian said. +1.
Often! Very handy for seeing where my students have stolen their essays from
Also, very handy for local maps.
if you can read and write a bit chinese it is very helpful and better than google. for english searches it is quite useless though.
if your google search does not work, i would recommend a vpn.
Baidu is set for Chinese particularly. Why not use bing since google sucks sometimes?
Nessquick:
bing is useless for me. really, bad suggestions and have to search a lot there inside.
When not using a VPN its Baidu all the time. Google sucks in China.
Good for mp3's
