Q: Do you feel the Christmas atmosphere?
I don't feel very Christmassy right now... How did you bring the atmosphere home?

Hahaha....That's funny mate... I just read your post on that other thread.
I don't celebrate it in the first place, so... no, I never felt that atmosphere in China. Granted, I haven't been there in a year and a half now...
I don't. Spring Festival will come soon enough. The best I could get is a poor substitute, a bubble. I prefer to wait next year, we will do this in Europe, the proper way 
I didn't feel very Christmas-y until I started having the Christmas parties at my school for my different classes. I also wore a Santa Claus costume, and we played musical chairs and i had Christmas songs playing in the background. So I feel it more now. In fact, I'm in such a giving mood, I will probably go to the park on Christmas, in my Santa Claus costume, so other people and Children can take pictures with me. I normally avoid pictures like the plague, but as I said, I'm in a giving mood.

I don't feel it at all. I had a work dinner to celebrate Christmas last night which was nice but not really that Christmas-y. I was never big on the holiday spirit or shopping back home but it would be nice to have a little touch of Christmas in China. I'm going to a Christmas party with a large group of foreigners on Christmas day so hopefully that will bring some good holiday vibes.
No Christmas spirit where I am. The closest it gets to feeling like Christmas is that the office feels like Scrooge's office on Christmas eve. Everyone wearing their thick coats as they huddle over their laptops trying to suck the warmth from them.
FOR GOODNESS SAKE...... WILL SOMEONE PLEASE SHUT THE FLIPPING WINDOWS !!!!!
I won't be trying to shut the windows. Last time I tried I set off a windows war. I lost....

Yeah what is that with them and the opening windows thing? I was at a middle school the other day and was cold as hell, and I also was already sick that day too, with a fever, and then teacher starts opening windows. I told them students to close them. Even my business partner says he opens his windows at home. I just don't understand why??? It's cold outside, and you want to be warm, yet you open the window, and let the warmth get sucked outside, while the cold gets sucked inside, but it's okay because you're wearing a big coat?????? That doesn't make any sense to me at all. My house is warm 24/7 and inside my house I'm wearing a tshirt and shorts.

I work in a Chinese office and no one opens the windows here, so I doubt it's a Chinese thing. My office is always warm.

It's - 20 going on - 35 where I am but that doesn't stop them opening the bloody windows.

I would have say I dont feel any Christmas atmosphere.my little boy is to young to understand.
before the childrens christmas party at the kindergarten all the bosses were very nice,now that its over they are back to being arse holes again.they were only nice because they wanted us to do something for them.
I only get one day off for Christmas.
maybe next christmas will be different as my son will be 2 years old.

There's no Christmas in China. Best bet is to create for yourself something that you really like to do.
For me it's play music, watch a sad film, and get pissed.
If your house is warm enough consider doing these things naked and lightly covered in olive oil.
Actually, I do. My wife is especially cheerful. Last year we went home and she got a real taste, so she wants to try to duplicate it. Of course, that means I'm doing the cooking in less than optimal conditions, but what the hell. I'm sure the MIL will complain about the food, but eff it! This is the first time in my years here that I actually am excited about Xmas. I'm sure tomorrow it will all come undone!
The only atmosphere Im feeling right now is at about 500+ on the AQI scale and its burning my f**king nostrils!
No! I will no go out and get very drunk with a large group of expats from all over the world and have lots of fun - the way christmas eve should be...merry!

I do feel the Christmas atmosphere... it is in y head and in my feelings for today.... I wish you all a very happy xmas .. my heart is with xmas...
