How come china can make anything but cant sell shoes in China that fit a westerner
Im size 11 shoe in Australia but due to the colder climate in the North
I would like to buy some suitable boots

With you there philbravery. I'm a 11 or 45cm as well and the majority of stores only have a good selection of shoes up to around size 10. In some of the bigger sports stores in Shenyang I can find some 45cm but that usually means paying top price. I haven't tried to get any boots there but I guess that may even be harder. There is a good place on the net goldroadtrade. They sell boots on line and have bigger sizes. I will PM you a link.

They are fakes, but really good ones. I have purchased some Nikes and got them delivered to Australia and no one I know can tell the difference.

philbravery:

Thanks mate Im at home in Brisbane at the moment but want to head back at the begining of spring

If you ever get to hong kong, they have bigger sizes. Also, check out the market at the Shenzhen railway station. I have bought shoes there. My size is 11.5 (46 - 46.5)

I'm a U.S. women's 10 (European 41) and I definitely empathize with your struggle finding shoes. My good friend tells me in Guangzhou they sell women's shoes up to size 43 and I'm not sure what for men but I assume something really large as that's quite a large size to carry for women . Also at the markets where there are foreigners selling shoes/clothes here in Shanghai (usually in shops in the metro stations) they usually have larger sizes .

I feel you on the struggle ! Sometimes I see extremely tall Chinese people that have big feet and I always wonder where they go . I think I'll ask next time ...

Before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes, that way you're a mile away and you have their shoes!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
