Q: do you hate missing out on sales in your home country?

for some strange reason i keep checking bestbuy.com and walmart.com to check prices on a few things. and whenever there is a big sale on computers or parts i think about it for days. does this happen to you?

Heh, can't say I do as during the sales I often only picked up cheap DVDs and CDs whereas here it's all pirated. I do miss outlet stores though!

Yes, I do receive weekly newsletters still, of some major stores and when i see full kitchen in price 300-500$ equivalent or so, than have a look at our kitchen here and prices in the shops here,  I am crying, and my wife too

Nah, I use to shop at Tj Maxx and Marshals, but I've already gotten everything I really need at the moment. Didn't do to much shopping at Best Buy only got me a ozzy osbourne cd once. And whenever I go to walmart I usually only go shopping for groceries..

Every day. There's a 29" monitor with a 2560x1080 resolution on sale for $649, and I feel like trash for not being there to pick it up. I don't want to buy it since I don't know when I'll be home, and I'm afraid my family will do something to it. I want to be the one to unpack it all!

I hate seeing good televisions on sale for so cheap as well.

But hey, once you get home, better stuff will be out. I guess that's a bonus. Too bad it will most likely be the same price as before...

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
