When the young ladies in my office are nervous, or feel like they're doing something urgent, they sort of hop, or jog in place or something, but they don't actually move any faster. Is it to look cute or busy, or both?
I can't say I've noticed any bunnies in the office, but we do have a few sloths.
Seriously, they spend most of their time either watching some stupid soap drama on their phones or playing with wechat.

I was just watching the accountant at my office hopping to her desk, then a few minutes later another girl here went shuffling by, it's a strange phenomenon that they can't walk like normal people, instead affect an odd run/hop/shimmy to look like they're rushing around.

Luckily for me, the accountant has a fantastic arse and wears tight pants every day. He must work out.
the Australian way is to just walk around with a piece of paper in your hand .....that way everyone thinks you are doing something

If you carry a clipboard and pen, not only are you busy, but there's a good chance that you're evaluating people - so you can get away with even more nothingness.
(if someone ever suggests you should do some work, then just tick something on it, and make a note or 2. "What are you doing" "Oh, noting...." or "You'll find out later")
I use the George Costanza technique: just always look frustrated and upset, it creates the illusion that I'm super busy and taking my work seriously.
I've noticed this phenomenom too with my students. It must have something to do with trying to look cute.
You forgot the 'epileptic deer in headlights' person... you talk to them about changing (often a minor detail) and they just stare at you... and then, take 15 minutes to try to understand exactly what you want.. then re-confirm it 3 times... and then email you about it... and expect you to reply to say that you go the email and that it's ok..... because, if you don't confirm it, then they tell the boss that you didn't email to confirm it - so the boss then emails or texts you to confirm it and asking why you didn't!
I hate working with morons!
(also - good possibility that said person will 'forget' this change later, and will go back to the original... and then there's drama about that!)

OMG yes I hate that. The worst part for me is the proposed change is usually something that will make the work easier in the long-term, but they still fight it passive-aggressively.
