Q: Do you know any foreigners who had their visas cancelled and were deported?
If so, what had they done to deserve it?
I have only known a few that have had their visas canceled. Most of them deserved it, others were victims of political games.
The political games involved China kicking tons of Nigerians out of China due to some bad blood (and a LOT of visa over stayers) between their two governments. Most of this happened in Guangzhou which has a very big Nigerian population.

im a black guy from london and i live in guangzhou, and theres a big problem with the Nigerians and the local government, you do often get asked for you passport on the street, now days i just carry a photocopy, ive only been stopped twice, first time they didnt bother to even open the passport they kinda looked at the colour and said im free to go, second time i was in the train station and a group of them asked for my passport but id left it at home and thats what i told him but he repeated the same question like a robot " passport please" and i just gave the same answer, they spoke to each other and let me go, maybe they realised i speak and dress different from the other black guys here

yes........his visa was cancelled because he had a fight in a club and then deported for destruction of property and assault
i know one guy who was deported because his visa was expire and he was still living and they deproted him back to home
I don't know the person directly. But my foreign friend just yesterday told me that one of her friend who came to China as a peace corps volunteer got a letter from police last week stating that he must leave China within two weeks.
The reason. He was too active or talkative or open (whatever) with his Chinese friends discussing political issues. One of his Chinese student informed to the police about this and now he has to leave.
I have only known one.... and he totally deserved it. In Chongqing this former army dude got wasted and kicked in the glass doors of our training center and then passed out on the sofa in the lobby. ..... Directly across the hall from the Canadian Consulate..who called the cops. He was kicked out the next day.
I know one Guy from pakistan..he was preaching local people about adopting his religion..first time they gave warning..but again the found him in a village doing the same thing..they deported him..
i don't know of any personally, but have read and heard of a lot of teachers over political issues between countries being deported from the mainland.
You have to obey the laws of the land , or you pay the price. As teachers here is china , we have to stay nuetral in all things.
Keep your nose clean , stay out of trouble best thing to do.
