Q: Do you know anyone that practices monkey kung fu?

Out of all the animal styles, monkey is probably my favorite because of the monkey sound effects that are played alongside of it during movies.

But if this is a real martial art, then there must be monkey kung fu people. Where are they? Why aren't they in the UFC leaping around and doing monkey KO's?

I am assuming that you mean this : 猴拳.

Is that correct? I asked one of friends who studies Kung Fu here and he told me that it is much more popular in Southern China, such as Hong Kong, where they have their own varient of it, than in Beijing and in Shanghai.

He even ventured to say that it might be more popular these days in the United States (www.shaolin.com) than in China.
