It is just the Chinglish way of saying..."Just Because" which as we all know is what Western women say when they don't want to explain.

They don't actually. Maybe you're referring to Chinese people in Australia?

That always bothered me because I do not like to repeat myself. I ask a question, I get no answer or ''no why'' or just ''why''. I don't think Chinese like to answer questions, They don't want to tell me what I want to hear or I'm not going to like the answer, so I get no real answer. It may also be a concentration problem. I notice when I'm talking about someone, they ask ''who'', so I tell them again and then continue only to get another ''who''.

Who just might be the new answer to everything to replace no why?

Because someone told them 'never answer a question with because'. They cant think of a way not to answer a question with because, so they go no why.

'No why' is a literal translation of the Chinese for 'no reason' In Chinese they say 'mei you wei shen ma' literally 'no why' whereas in English we say ;no reason.

It is a matter of habit when he or she do not want to answer your question or your question is obviously no answer. In most cases, when they do not know how to answer, "no why" is the best answer for them.

Because they say in Chinese: "bu wei shen me" which means in English "No Why". So it's really just a perfect translations.

I always correct: "no reason why"..
