I do not, because I find it silly to make a decision to improve yourself on one day of the year. You can make that decision anytime you want!

Life is a continuum, not something that revolves around a calendar. The fact that we happen to live on a planet that orbits a star in 365 days doesn't mean one of those days should be a particularly good day to do self improvement.

Why count the years. Live in the moment.

This life view would also rid the world of all the phony things like asstrology and "special days where th planets have alinged in a way that only happens once every 823 years"

mArtiAn:

With that attitude you have to be a Sagittarius. Don't worry though, this negativity about the beauty of astrology will surely transform as the Sun passes through Uranus. You will know this time is come, when you see a man. In a shop. With a blue coat. Called Bob. Or Tom. Or maybe Keith.

Nup.  I'm happy enough living in my Groundhog Day reality.

Whatever.

Not really.

But I do use it as a marker to evaluate my progress in terms of yearly income and possible ways to improve myself.

But it's not like I should only be focusing on improvement because it is the New Year. It's just a nice time to reflect and try to reconfigure my plans.
