Q: Do you need a visa to China if married to a Chinese
Can you come and go as you please? Or what visa would you have to apply for to get into China?
The only way that you don't need a visa for China if married to a Chinese is...if you are also Chinese. Everyone else needs a visa.
Yes. You need a visa ( or a residence permit) to enter China.
You can get married in China on any visa, so long as it is valid. I got married on a tourist visa (L).
If you are a foreigner and are married to a Chinese national, you can apply for a Q visa, which is not actually a visa if you apply for it in China. It's a residence permit that goes into your passport. Normally this will be for 6 months to 2 years. You need to do a medical for ant residence permit that is valid longer than 6 months.
But take note. You can't work in China if you are on a Q visa. You need a work visa to work.

of course u do not need a visa if yoyr matried to a vhinese person just tell customs u are married to a local and they will let u in no problem
No, you're all good to go mate.
Don't bother wasting your time getting a visa before you come. A nod, a wink and maybe a nose tap at immigration will ensure you are waved through with a minimum of fuss.
Trust me, it's all good. The Chinese authorities (like western countries) are very liberal when it comes to immigration issues.
