Q: Do you prefer interested/disinterested shop assistants?

I realised yesterday that I am really starting to love places that don't give a cr*p about me. Buying veg yesterday I walked straight over to the guy that also as a look of "you are really inconvenient" about him. II'm so tired of buying veg and the people next to me having a conversation about me buying a freakin sweet potato. Or the 'Do you cook?" question. Yes I cook that is why I'm buying a raw onion, a leek and a bag of potatoes. I didn't buy them to use as a door stop.

I used to love that people remembered me. That they seems interested in what I was going to cook and wanted to give me suggestions. What changed? and when did it change?

I love the shop employees that leave me alone until I approach them, at this point, if they're not actually able to help, they have to go back to their corner.

We have a local shop where it is close to impossible to go in, pick up a can of coke and leave, without being harassed by at least 5 people each trying to flog some products I don't need. I am especially annoyed by the 30 something girl that always smiles and tries to sell me laundry detergent, a thing I have never actually bought in that shop, but gets offered each time I go there. I wonder if she is trying to sell more than just the detergent.

I prefer to be left dfk alone! Nothing is more annoying, then coming to a shop with intention to buy and then have annoying sales personnel come to you and scream in your ear about their "special offers" and following you around like stalkers. Get lost!

I never buy in such shops. The way I realized it is here, that Chinese do business this way, that the more you repeat the more you really mean business, whereas we usually prefer to be left alone.

Same goes for big shopping center, where people scream and repeat same bs sentence 5 times/minute. Can't go in shopping center without headseats anymore.

But the most irritating thing is, when you want to buy specific product, like for example black shoes, they start showing you all other things you don't want to buy. Here, we have green slippers on action, this running shoes have special discount, here buy this backpack. Wtf!, Just shut up, show me what I want to buy, and shut up again.

Hi and smile do all the job necessary. If I want, I will ask you to come, and when I have answer, I want you to crawl back. Dam, this can be really irritating.

Its annoying as hell when you are shopping and potentially interested in a item, then they show you 3 other items randomly or if you buying clothes they show you clothes that wont fit. I like to answer in full blown quick English and answer " since you asking me for help i am actually trying to find .....- Though since moving to Beijing they try to find someone that speaks English.

I also like to go in to shops like Jack Jones and time how long some assistant pounces on you then walking around a clothes rack in circles and see how many times they follow you.

A:You can still skin into China as a non-English native teacher by holding English Teaching license in your home country.2nd: Your BA degree should be completed in a native English country. Once, you fulfilled these 'parameters', you qualify for an English teaching job in China as a non-native English sneaker with Z - Entry/Working visa with Working and Residence permit later on. See the last 'Answers Highlight' ---> there is a web link posted about 'requirements for teaching English language in China as a non-English native passport holder'. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china#paragraph-item-63614-target

*English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). I'd say, Chinese will choose and look especially for a native English speaker at teaching of English Literature job openings. Posted job adverts for English Literature teaching are most likely from International Schools in China. Good luck! -- icnif77
