Q: Do you still sometimes cringe at what your Chinese (boy)girlfriend says?
Does it ever occur they say sometimes that makes you do a double-take and reminds you you're dating a Chinese?

Agreed...all the time. When she says, "bribing my boss is the only way to get ahead"......the fact that it is acceptable and they all go along with it ....that's what gets me....she has no concept that it's just so f*cked up! She really thinks that it is ok and part of her job.

Back when we first started dating she used to be ignorant about non-Chinese. As in saying that all black people are criminals and yadda yadda yadda. I had to do a bit of schooling and now it's not a problem.
Well, I did have to axplain to her that "Elephant jockey" is not a term of endearment.
When I first started dating my wife she would always say things like,
Wife: "Is it true that people from Los Angeles shoot at other moterists all the time?
Me: "No. Where did you get that idea?"
Wife: "I saw it in many movies."
Me: "So, that means everyone in China can run along the tops of trees and have kungfu fights everywhere?"
Wife: "No! That is only in the movies.... Ah. I got your point."
