That is insane. I dont think its a trap, i think its some dumb ass hoping that it doesnt get detected my anyone who could get him in trouble. He probably feels no foreigners could or would report him and chinese have no idea what weed is. Which is usually correct.

Still , if you want to buy weed, get it from a friend. Thats far too risky for me.

I wouldnt even touch weed here, i know many do. But I dont like it enough for even 1% chance of getting in crap. Beer is good enough for me!

expatlife26:

Agree 1000%

Hell if I was at home (in a state where it's legal now!) i'd love to blaze up every now and then.

But I don't want to smoke nearly enough to deal with the sketchy african dudes selling it or any of the other risk of doing it here.

It's like an asian thing to not care about laws...but at the same time have these crazy strict laws on the books. I don't want to be the example made and spend years in prison.

Of course, the local authorities wouldn't think to read the forums on an expat website, right?

The monumental stupidity of some people is astounding.

Doing drugs let alone dealing is pretty stupid as a visitor in another country, particularly this one. Special treatment for foreigners??? Ahhh, not so much. Please send us a postcard from home.

I like the "legit manufacturer" part. I'd like to see the business license and certificate of compliance then

Or maybe he's just selling 草地. What, are you against greenery?

expatlife26:

They probably intend to mean that what they manufacture is legitimately illegal drugs. That is to say they illegimately manufacture a substance that is legitimately what they claim it to be, irrespective of the legitimacy of the illegality of said substance.

It's not rocket science, people.

They might be selling that synthetic weed stuff, it's supposed to have similar effects to the real thing and I think is sold openly in some countries.

If not, then yeah the seller is an idiot or it's a trap.

artdio:

I think your right, I found this news on synthetic drug.

It's known as Spice, a synthetic form of marijuana, originally developed by medical researchers, and now sold by drug dealers.

It's one of a new generation of synthetic drugs -- made from chemical compounds -- and designed to mimic the effects of marijuana, cocaine or methamphetamine.

Because many of the ingredients are legal the drugscan be freely imported into the United States

But because many of the ingredients are legal they can be freely imported into the United States.

Where are most of these synthetics coming from?

"For the most part China is the main source," Coleman said. "They were probably the first ones to start it. Once they saw there was a big demand for it, they ramped it up."

Posing as buyers, we found a Chinese manufacturer online within minutes.

The website for KaiKai Technology Co., Ltd, looks like a legitimate business selling chemical compounds -- but they offered to ship us two pounds of synthetic marijuana for $2,500.

U.S. Customs authorities are powerless.

"They can't do anything," Coleman said. "If it's one of the legal substances coming in, there's nothing that they can do."

I saw this same ad on the beijinger. Must be a trap, like the models who all got caught after the police organised a fake casting call.

Trap look at what happened to those models. I would love to be a cop and catch a model type woman working on the wrong visa. There are actually many dancers doing this also. I would have so much fun

expatlife26:

That thing was BS, they're just trying to pick on people with little money who can't defend themselves. Why would you enjoy messing with models, Crimo? Do you have some kind of resentment towards beautiful women?

What if my Dad came here to visit me and he randomly met someone in his field who wanted to interview him for a potential job and he got arrested for it?

He'd hire a lawyer and beat the charge in 2 seconds because it's obviously bogus. 22 year old from the Czech Republic might not have the wherewithal to fight it so he/she just has to hang their head and head home.

I mean shit I don't fault China for enforcing it's visa laws...but if there is a demand for foreign models by chinese firms than they need to provide a straightforward system for legally employing them.

I don't agree. There may be demand for foreign models, but is it Government policy?

If a farmer in the UK employs lots of illegals and pays them a pittance, does that represent a demand that the UK Government should cater for?

I think Crimo's affinity for beautiful women fosters his desire to 'mess with them'.
