It's all posturing at the moment. It's like another cold war. The question is; "How long will the rest of the world allow China to push so many buttons, and allow them to get away with everything?"

China's behavior as a state is much like Chinese behavior in everyday life.
Ever found yourself sitting near a Chinese in a bus? They'll take as much place as they can, and then gently, slowly take over as much as they can of the remaining as long as you don't protest, wherever people who understand personnal space would simply try to only take the space they need on their seat and leave you some air to breathe.
This really must be an everyday pain in the ass to share a border with China. I mean, they even manage to fabricate a territorial conflict out of a ridiculous piece of rock on the sea, don't even start on the terrestrial ones.

Personally I feel WW3 will be started by the same powers that started WW1 & WW2. The bankers who profit from all sides and use wars to achieve further political power and consolidation. This behavior goes back as far as you want to research. Look at the Napoleonic wars when the Rothchild's took control of England.
