Q: Do you think Chinese news show too many graphic images?
I often feel depressed after flicking through Chinese newspapers or websites because of the graphic imagery shown. Media here often show pictures of dead bodies, sometimes the bodies are blurred out but the pool of blood isn't. I just don't think there's any need for it. I know some may counter-argue that we should be exposed to things the way they are, but I have an imagination and for me, reading a news story is enough to grasp what's going on. I really don't need to see a picture of a woman floating head down in a lake after committing suicide.
we had this a couple of months ago and the general opinion is yes it is to much
Nobody actually watches/reads Chinese news do they??
They don't show enough. All they show are the two reporters that report the news and they sit there and talk about it. They rarely show any graphics! They'll put some on here and there, but for the most part it's(the camera) usually on them! (
!
He he, I said: "talk"!
I think its fine, it doesn't bother me at all. Because back home they (the media) always sugar coat everything. Chinese news are usually just showing how it really is, but not that i agree with everything they say or do!
