Q: Do you think June 4th will be a peaceful day ?

Seems some people are prevented from walking the streets that day.

Why it should not be ? It's not a special day. Nothing happened that day, and if it happened, it's censored or deleted. We should not trouble the harmony of our host. Did I got 5 maos ?

sorry, you Chinglish skills are not good enough, you need a higher word/error rate than what you got.

Funny thought. Imagine if July 14th is just a made up thing to grow nationalism among those of French persuasion.

DrMonkey:

14 th July might have been some minor troubles taken alone, but 1789 was a riot anywa., I guess people needed a date to know when to buy firecrackers, and in mid-July, weather is awesome and the day is long ^^

In France, there is a growing amount of people calling the 14th July a crass nationalist/militarist festival. In the far-left.  I'm sure some people will call that day "fascist" and associate it with Petain, Poujade, etc. The very few royalists (we still have some, they are cute ^^) will probably get drunk with expensive wine while singing obscure feodal-era songs. And doing so won't put yourself into troubles, it won't be censored, and you won't get special attention from the police.

It will be a busy but peaceful day in Hong Kong though might get very hot with more than 100,000 candles!
