I really want to see this movie on the big screen.
is it to violent for the Chinese?

I really really hope it's screened here but doubt it. If the did it would be cut for sure.
As of now no plans. I checked. But who knows. Sometimes they show movies months later.

At least it's the same producer as the original... but where's Mel?? It isn't Mad Max without Mel!!! Or his 'Interceptor" Falcon.

I suggest you watch the previews on YouTube. I saw the first one a year ago and declared to my friend that this would be the greatest movie of all time. I think I might have called it correctly.

I have seen promos for it.. that's why I know Miller is in the chair again.
Other than bigger special effects, will it be any different from, say, Beyond Thunderdome?

I dunno people say its far better than the original. 98% rotten tomatoes score, best action movie in years , all that jazz. Im with you on all the remakes but aparently this one is different.
