Q: Do you unpack stuff?

Yesterday I saw an old woman being wheeled around in a wheelchair. The front wheels on the wheelchair where still wrapped  in plastic. I often see e.g. kids riding bikes and there is cardboard wrapped around parts of the frame, people have TVs that still have the protective plastic film on the frame.

What's the deal here.

a) people cannot be bothered to remove wrapping

b) people think they are protecting their stuff from damages when in fact they are probably just picking up more dust and making things difficult to clean

c) people are showing off that they have new stuff ?

I want to scream every time I see a 50" Full HD 3D super expensive TV with the dirty plastic on the frame.

Somehow it seems that people think that the plastic can protect the screen from damage, I have also seen people with the plastic on their computer screen and if I try to remove it, they will tell me not to do it because the screen "might get damaged".

It is a protective thing, just like not removing the windows7 and intel inside stickers from your laptop makes it faster and more stable

no

A year and a half ago, I had to remove all the plastic coverings and wraps from my new car, much to the astonishment and wonder of my sales chick.  为什么....

I also love the fabric drapes/curtains people will install on top of their high dollar flat screen TV's.  You know, covering those holes on top, that are used to ventilate out some mega heat......wait....

I never removed the plastic from my e-bike. I just don't care and I would be surprised if anyone else cared. I bought a guitar two years ago and the plastic pickguard and pickup covers remain. Again, who cares? Everything else is plastic free!

To be fair, I'm guilty of the same thing.

It took me a year to remove the protective plastic on my phone's screen, because it was already filthy and torn apart.

But imagine that moment when you finally peel away that ugly, filthy, disgusting piece of plastic. All the filth is gone away. Phone is brand new. Orgasmic.

Well, maybe not orgasmic, but I do the same thing.

It's not even the fact that the phone looks brand new after that that makes it so enjoyable. It's the peeling away that, for some reason, feels really satisfying.

isn't in many cases a 1 year old phone pretty close to end of life, it's like plastic surgery to an 80 year old

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
