Q: Do you like your town more during Spring Festival?
I love Beijing during Spring Festival it's so much quieter!
How about you guys?
Yeah, I noticed that when we went through Beijing just before our trip to the Philippines about a year or so ago. Very quiet, it was almost quite nice.
My town during Spring Festival is kind of the same. Many villagers return to their surrounding villages for a week or so. I will go with my wife to her village but just for a couple of days at most...it is a nice little bit of needed quiet.
Too much of it and I get bored to death and my work suffers.

I love all of Guangdong at this time. Half the population is gone. Only the polite stay. No stares. No Herrroooooo's. Traffic is amazing. Yesterday i found a stretch of clear highway and got up to 200kms!!!! Can only do that for the next 2 weeks.
Not much closes down here so there is no real inconvenience.
If something bad happened to the highways and railines to Hunan, i wouldnt mind.
