Previously the quarantine requirement in China is 14 days and the general cost is around 4500 - 9000 RMB (hotel + meals) depending on the type of hotel you choose or be assigned to.  Now China has extended the quarantine period to 14 + 7 (the 7 days could be home based if you have your own residence) and the cost can be more.

Best answer to this would be Youtube. There are a few vlogs online that address the cost, meals and tests during the hotel quarantine upon arrival in China.

Wise man/woman would try to negotiate quarantine's cost with Z visa sponsor ...

I know, I would or I am not coming ...

Biggest expense is dedicated hotel's cost ... for 2 weeks with one meal included and all foreigners are paying the bill, so it won't be on the cheap side.

For detailed info on entry to China contact Chinese Embassy in your country.

See this link on Chinese Embassy in Vienna, Austria with tonns of contact email addresses ...

Not sure, but no idea where the 14+7 days rule came from as posted earlier, I can tell you know, we have had 3 New arrivals from the UK in the past three weeks and they only did 14 days..Guangzhou.

A: You can work only if you hold a work permit and residence permit yours
A:You can work only if you hold a work permit and residence permit yourself. The same conditions for all foreigners apply. You have a job and the company can legally employ foreigners. Work permit is tied to that company and location that you are actually working and the position matches. You can't just work in China if you hold a dependence visa or residence permit.  -- jmintzis
