Q: Does anybody know when the winter holidays for teachers begin?
The Chinese teachers at my school always seem rather evasive when it comes to holiday periods. I was wondering if somebody on this forum is clued in with specific start and finish dates yet.

In my school, we begin officially on the week of January 28 (week 21 of the school year), though some begin a week early, until February 22.
In China there is nothing like winter Holidays.....
Depends on what kind of school you're teaching at. At university, I guess between late January until late February. At a high school or middle school, mid to late December, depending on how the run up to the exams is handled, until the beginning of March. At a Cram school, probably just the week of spring festival. Have you tried checking your contract? The dates might be included there.
Mine starts Dec 29, finished Feb 25! (Uni job)
