I do about once a month. I usually add an egg. But there is a little packet of funky oily gunk that I never add in.

yes, but only in emergencies such as "being to lazy to go shop"

their reputation amongst people is not very good. word on the street is that to keep the noodles in the pack they are coated with something carcinogenic. I think that is probably in the old wives tale category, but of course toxins in food in China wouldn't be a first.

I actually find some of them tasty, but I doubt their nutritional value is any better than e.g. just buying some noodle and poor some ketchup on them

No. In the same amount of time to prepare those noodles,  I fry some veggies with an egg, drop some 'lao gan ma' sauce, done ^^

Yes, for the whole week before pay day. I like the roast beef flavour ones.

Disgusting. Anything that says instant should automatically be avoided. It has been cooked, dehydrated, and coated with a silicone(plastic) preservative to keep the color and smell fresh and then you eat it. Do you enjoy consuming plastic? I would hope not. Don't even get me started on those instant potato flakes...ugh.. Just cook some noodles yourself..it may take a little bit longer but what's wrong with working a little bit for your food? Animals do it every day....

I do and I am not unabashed as to say so.  I cut up some fresh leek, some firm tomatoes, a clove or two of garlic, some some parsley and some celery, and yes indeed, I find it quite tasty.  Not every day, mind you, but on a bitterly cold winter day, before work...

Yes, I do. At first I hated it... I don't really like the HUGE tubs... but the small package is good and they are normally pretty tasty...

I used to somewhat like them, but after eating so many of them (due to an acute case of laziness), I can't stand them anymore.

I'll eat some only if I'm completely broke and unable to buy anything else.

Ya, I think that's what happened to me. I think I ate them too much. and it is just out of laziness. Now I hate them, although I still eat them every now and then when it's my very last option.

They are excellent when trekking - though for easy packing I recommend not buying them in the cardboard bowls. Up and down China you'll find houses were people are more than willing to give you a bowl and some hot water so you can munch through your lunch. Under no other circumstances could I eat these.
