Q: Does anyone have experience with Wall Street English?

I hear mixed things from people and the school keeps trying to poach me from my current employer.

I have not experienced them first hand, but they are one of the schools my niece was considering. We researched and found way too many unfavorable reviews, including late pay, forced overtime, and extra classes with no prior warning.

it it the orignal English factory, the teacher are all over worked and under paid, the student are on the computer more then in class with a ESL teacher, they use fish bowl classes which are very distracting to both the teacher and the students, and are disgned for the sales people to show off the teachers to new potenial students. They have a 6 day work week with 36 class room hours a week which is very grulling, for very little money, which makes it even more grulling.
They are suit and tie nuts and fine their teachers if they do not wear full dress everyday.

Basically all these English factories are the same the stduents learn very little English, the teacher are all over worked and under paid, Wall Street works them even hard for a couple a thousand  more each month it is really not worth it.
I know they are all the same because i have worked for them all over my 8 years as a ESL teacher, Wall Street EF, Metro, Web etc. You will be better off working for a Public school where at least you can control what you teach, and don't need to follow the set factory plan. Which for all these schools is very vague and is desgined onlt to make the school more money and not really teach English.

Perhaps all of the above is true and with that being said, still, from my vantage point, Wall Street is considered by many to be one of the better paying, better run language mill operations in existence in China, not that that says much one way or the other, but they are miles above English First, at least two miles above Aston and Shane, etc., etc.  It's a glitzy, showy, new money type of an operation but they pay accordingly.

If this is Canada, Wall Street would have been indicted for managemnet bullying and sexual misconduct to say the least. Management is abusive by imposing long hours and cancelled holidays. The GM of their Shenzhen branch who recently got trasferred from Shanghai even imposed fellow staff to Kiss each other on the lips fo their team building. He is frequently seen to have gone to karaoke with two female staff and missed the very same meeting he demanded that all attended the following morning. Look at the turn over. I wonder what the compliance requirement of the foreign owners of Wall Street would do when this comes into light in the court of law.
