Q: Does anyone know of any tabacco plantation tours in Yunnan?

I heard that Yunnan is the main producer of tabacco in China and was wondering if anyone's heard of any tours through these plantations or the name of a plantation that's open to visitors. All info greatly appreciated

The most important tobacco processing base in Yunnan is located in a city called Yuxi so you could try looking there. Alternatively, you could go to Honghe in Yunnan where one of China's most famous cigarette brands comes from. As for actual tours of plantations, I can't say for sure and there's no info online so the best bet is that you have to go there and ask around or pay a bit extra for an unofficial tour.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage.
