Q: Does anyone know where I can buy contact lenses in Beijing?

I want to get my eyes checked by an ophthalmologist and get new contact lenses.

I read about an Aussie eye doctor named Dr. James Charles in BeiJing, but can't

find any contact info. (location, tel. no.,e-mail address, etc.) Please reply ASAP.

Many thanks,

Lorenzo

There is what you americans call a shopping mall full of spectacle shops, about 300 hundred I think. they sell everything to do with eyes.   It's at the end of line 10 Jinsong, walk towards Huawei Bridge for about 500 yards, the place is on your right.   There may be other places close by.   I wasn't wearing my spectacles at the time so can't be sure.   Don't forget to wear yours, I know what you americans are like, you even forget your manners and your place sometimes

LAR:

"i know..............sometimes." Too funny!!!! :) Actually, in my experience you Brits have been like that..just losing your POOR heads and all. And, acting like total twats. Regarding your comment about 'place', why don't you stick it up your ass? Es hipersensible maricon!!

You can buy the lenses online at www.lensproxy.com - they service specifically foreigners in China. Maybe they can also help you find a good ophthalmologist.
