Q: Does China and Chinese people really like one other Asian country?
or maybe have as many positive as negative stereotypes?
Seem they only have bad things to say about all other Asians. Why?
Because, to me, the reason is that there is nothing better than what I do have at home. Human nature I believe it is called.
The Japanese really did steal all of their good ideas from the Chinese. Just think about it:
Ramen = La Mian
Kanji = Hanzi
Japan = Riben
Go = Weiqi
karate = Gongfu
Tea
Bonsai
... the list just goes on...

Actually, the Japanese do not call their country "Japan." They call it "nihon" or "nippon." Same characters, different pronunciation.

Yes, there does seem to be some liking for South Korea - music, fashion, TV... (too bad they forgot the Korean War, and so don't understand why Sth Korea hates China!)
Many other countries will be looked down upon... mostly because it's been ingrained that China has 5000 year history, and nobody is better than them because of it. Since most other Asian nations are even more 'developing' than China, and their economies are worse, it would make some (irrational, emotive) sense to have a superiority complex regarding them.
Why yes. They consider many other countries in Asia as their "little brother and sisters." They only have problems with the ones who border China or have shores on "their" sea...
Of course the love them where do you think the next cheap migrant work force is coming from….
