Q: Does Chinese employers use personality test when hiring new talent?

anyone ever gone through a personality test in China, was the outcome as expected (e.g. compared to tests done in home country)

I could not see any employers here paying the licence fee for proper psycometric testing software (spelling?) . Employment laws here are not so tight that a poor performing high level recruit cant be get rid of fairly sharply. Paying high wages is only a 1 month gamble here.

Chinese employers will even hire or reject job applicants based on their Chinese zodiac signs. I'm not surprised that they'd rather hire people based on superstitious nonsense.

No, even my Chinese friends don't seem to have ever been through a Personality Test when applying for jobs.

 

From what I know Chinese employers will hire people as follow, depending on field:

-Services: Must be pretty/handsome.

-Industry: Must be uneducated and helpless.

-Finance: Must be soulless and a good liar.

-Education: Must be willing to hammer the Party's line in pupils' heads.

-Management: Must be antisocial and a good liar.

...

 

Protip: You have more chances to succeed if you are a jerk.

Scandinavian:

Good alcohol consumption skills is also good for Managment positions
