It is eating too many hamburgers and junk food that kills you, not English! He he, I said: "food"! (!
MondoRosa:
Can you please enlighten me as to what all the "he he, I said (insert different word here)..." lines are about? Is at a joke only Americans know about? You're American right?
TedDBayer:
Why? I wish something would do him. Choking on a hamburger is aceptable. I wanna see the Utube video.
crimochina:
yes, hamburgers is "foreign food" (every foreign country, every western country)
That's pretty funny, lol. Until you said "FB friends," I figured this was part of your provided curriculum or something.
Scandinavian:
Not FBI, just FB. It means Facebook, it is a web site for people who do not loose face.
Scandinavian:
Impossible, or are you saying you are in fact Chinese ?
I think you posted this as a joke, but let me say a few things about risk factors for heart attack.
They include genetic factors such as: gender (men are more likely to get heart attack), age, and inborn errors in metabolism; and environmental factors such as: hypertension, diabetes, unhealthy eating habits, smoking, alcohol, stressful life style, etc.
You can't choose your genes, but you can choose what kind of lifestyle you want to lead, and when it comes to statistics, it doesn't work at the individual level, so you either get heart attack or you don't get it.
If speaking any language will cause me to get a heart attack it will definitely be speaking Chinese . BTW, I am a non-native speaker, but I don't and won't teach English (in case anyone wants to comment on my language skills).
GuilinRaf:
Ahhh!
You are an insult to all English teachers everywhere!
You s hould be whipped for even thinking of speaking English!
Naaaaaa, I'm just messing with you.
I really wish my students English were half as "bad" as yours.
Then again, if their English is bad, I guess I really only have myself to blame.
Oh Man! I suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(sounds of me hanging myself from a bonsai......)
Hulk:
Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Not a bonsai!!!!! It's a japanese tree!!!
wildcat77:
Haha. @GuilinRaf, just make sure you tell your students you met a foreigner online whose English skills were worse than theirs! See if they can believe it. @ Hulk, safe journey back home. You disappeared for sometime, and I was worried you may have gone HULK on someone then god forbid...(u know what i mean.
The Chinese suffer less heart attacks than the English because you need one in the first place before you can have the attack.
RRoy:
With all the smog and pollution they don't live long enough to get a heart attack.
Sugars, flours (yes even whole grains) are the issue. Not animal fat.
