Q: Does the fact they're not showing The Masters this year bother you at all?

Rampant Chinese nationalism is wrecking this country.

I mean, who's in charge?  Eh?

As far as I can tell, all important sports events are on TV in China. I list in order of importance

Are you sure they're not showing the Masters? I wanted to watch and a Chinese friend said it will be showed.

Could be there just isn't the demand for it here.

royceH:

There are two designated golf channels (albeit one of them shows lots of tennis), channels 107 and 106, so no, I don't believe they're not showing it because of a perceived lack of interest.  Golf is a genuine world sport and The Masters is one of the premier annual events in the world.....perhaps even the greatest of annual world events.

There must be a reason why they aren't showing it.

Day three has come and gone...still no telecast.  Bunch of bastards!

What are they thinking?  What's the reason?

Anyhow, two Yanks share the lead with one round to go.

I hope Jordan Spieth will maintain his cool, but tonight the reality will sink in and he will have sleep difficulty and tomorrow the nerves will be frayed. My prediction: Bubba wins with Kuch and Rickie coming in second or third. It will be great TV viewing!

I'd love to see Jimenez shoot another 66 and win by a shot.  But, in fact, I won't be able to see a thing.

I've been told the golf channel will show one hour highlights on Tues, Wed and Thurs.

Sorry, I was pulling your leg. I don't know much about golf, but 'tigers'. That's c&p comment from Yahoo report. I guess, US poster. It was interesting, because he mention 'viewing on the teli'..

You're doing it wrong!  How come your home country shows so much sport?  We all know the only sports that matter are ones that involve Olympic medals and show the "progress" of a country.

Anyway Royce, the Chinese travel channel is supposed to show it from 1:30-7:30am.  I'll watch online in English.

Good luck!

royceH:

There's a travel channel?  I didn't know that.  What channel is it?

And how do you watch online?  You must have some kind of super fast connection and a VPN.

I can't watch anything online.

Sorry so late with the reply, Royce. I hope you found the channel. It was 43 here in QD.  Anyway, it was so typically Chinese that the announcer was wearing a green jacket from the studio in Beijing/Shanghai?  Silly.

A rather lackluster back-nine if you ask me.  Well played by Bubba.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
